Toronto Podcamp Post Party Bash

Well, it was a long day. After some quick post production, packing up gear, it was off to the local Ryerson pub to relax, feast, and drink. Two free beers and free food as long as it lasted. After a few beers I continued to take portraits of all the souls that stuck it out and hung around.

Toronto Podcamp: Strobists on the Move II

Okay, the whole purpose of this shoot was to be as portable as possible.  No photoshopping allowed.  Everything had to be done right once and in camera.  Some of the strobists had elaborate setups.  I saw one of the guys carrying around a monster battery pack for his ring light at one point.  My team, myself and Brad, just used a collapsable softbox and a light stand.  For all you photo geeks out there we were using two Nikon SB-900's, the softbox was always on the left side of the camera/picture  triggered by the Nikon CLS.  The one on the lightstand (right side) was triggered by a Radio Popper.  The softbox was on a mono-pod and was usually held on an angle about 2-3 feet from the target person.  There were a few mis-fires in the portraits, but all the bad ones were deleted.

Every couple of hours we met up with Many, who organised the shoot, and downloaded the pictures to his computer which then uploaded them to the gallery we were using for the day.  All pictures were released under the "Creative Commons" License for the day.  One reason why there are no watermarks on these pictures.  Now, onto the portraits once again.
