I have a lot of pictures to deal with in the next couple of days. I was wandering the city going to the Doors Open Toronto Saturday and Sunday. As well as a few other things.
Here are the exterior of four buildings I got to wander in.
Yes some of those are older pictures. Just have to wait for the new ones. Coming soon...

It's a Hat!
Ever go to one of those parties where there's an interesting item of clothing that everyone has to try out? Yep did it last weekend. Same night as the fireworks. The item of discussion this time was this purple hat. Seemed to start out innocently enough. Then it made it's rounds.
I have to thank Taylor for taking the pictures of me. He has a good eye for what looks evil and how to take the shot. More pictures of myself for my files.

Fireworks
This past weekend was the Canadian, or at least English Canada, Victoria Day Weekend. A long weekend where we open the cottage, drink booze, and shoot off fireworks. A good weekend if you can get it. I was at a friends house warming party and after consuming a few wobbly pops we decided to light off a few fireworks. We wandered to a nearby park and set stuff up. Or tried to. Point of note with regards to cameras. Taking pictures of fireworks can be difficult. Here are the best pictures that I took. And no, alcohol was not a factor. Trying to focus on something moving really fast, really close, late at night is not a good thing.
The roman candle fell over when I took this one. Not my fault.
Exposure and shutter speed are tricky.
Not to mention making sure you are aiming at the right location. As you can see, nope, not this time.
At least I was able to get a cool effect after with all the smoke and haze, trees, and light involved.
I will have to work on this project another time.

Ooops....
...Forgot to process and upload recent pictures and I don't feel like trawling the archives. Here's a quick few pictures from back in April at least. Stay tuned.
Might have to find myself one of these this week. Great weather outside and summery.

A Juggler
Not this past weekend but the weekend before I went to a photo show. Wandered around looking at neat stuff on sale and salivating. In one of the back corners there was a juggler doing his stuff.
Rings are neat, but passe...
Getting fired up is what it's all about though.

Sculptures: Again
Haven't really uploaded any recent pictures once again. It's the Victoria Day long weekend here in Canada, also known as the May Two Four weekend. Many reasons why it's called that. I did take quite a few pictures over the week, and I will get around to them eventually. In the meantime I do have a wealth of pictures from the past that I haven't talked about yet. Especially my Sculpture pictures. I am feeling a little tired this morning so I won't talk much. Most of this set of pictures was taken around and near University avenue with both my old and new camera. So without any further ado we are off.
Two Forms a Henry Moore piece is at the north east corner of the Art Gallery of Ontario. It's about two blocks west of University on Dundas.
Pillars of Justice is south of Dundas on University. I have previously shown these taken at night. Here's a better quality picture taken during the day.
Not far from the Pillars of Justice is another piece called "Frederick Gans Memorial. It's in a small courtyard just east of University ave.
And finally we have Endless Bench which is located in front of Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.
That's it for today. See you tomorrow.

Toronto Pillow Fight People
Well, I had to do a bunch of uploads this morning before I could make a post. Then sort through for what to post on. I decided to highlight a few people and such. Costumes were interesting, and the people even more so.
First up, "Bad Girl" from the video game on Wii "No More Heroes" (thanks to the commenter that informed me from Flickr)
Next, Big Bird and friend....
Random guys in unknown costumes. The tigger jammies gave on a whole Peter Pan lost boy look I think.
Then there was "Bottom", Classical reference I know.
And my personal favourite, a modified Iron Man costume...
of course a cool costume just means target...
A bigger shot to show the helmet in the middle of the mob.
I may post something more tomorrow. So many fun shots it's hard to pick what to post. May do another people post for tomorrow since there were so many.
Have a great weekend everyone.
