After almost a hundred photo walks (the group passed the landmark a couple weeks ago), you tend to cover the same ground eventually. At least we get different weather, sometimes things have changed, or who knows what's new we will see.
This is a tragic tale. I went for this walk back in the middle of June and showed up for the after lunch portion in the Brick Works down in the Don Valley. Two cameras, lenses and memory cards. Shot some pictures in the Brick Works and then we headed up into Rosedale area.
The tragedy? half way through the afternoon, I go to take a picture with one camera and suddenly the memory card is corrupted. All the pictures from the Brick Works, lost and unrecoverable. Changed cards and carried on. At least I was using both cameras so I did have some pictures to save and post. So the afternoon portion of the walk with only some of the total pictures taken.
There was nothing to be done about the lose unfortunately.
Okay, I know I missed last week. Wasn't feeling that good over all and was barely able to just focus on work. I will finish off the GCPWII and carry on with other stuff tomorrow.
So, one of the things we wanted to do was take shots of the moon rising over the lake. I got some decent shots, but nothing really spectcular. Going to have to work on that. Afterwards some went to the usual spot to take long exposure shots of the city skyline while a few of us decided to call it a day and head home. It was a long day and we had lots of fun renewing acquaintances and friendships.
