Toronto Photo Walks: Kensington Chinatown Dim Sum III

A short day. Wasn't feeling to well at the time, so It was off to the final stop of the day. Fighting through crowds. Rumours of The Tragically Hip playing for the street. Turns out it wasn't a rumour. Finally to The Burger Bar for rejuvenation before heading home. It was a good day. Till next year now.

Toronto Photo Walks: Kensington Chinatown Dim Sum II

The streets can be interesting. People, dancers, performances. It's one of the appeals of Pedestrian Sundays.

Toronto Photo Walks: Kensington Chinatown Dim Sum

Right, where was I? Okay, Kensington Market and Pedestrian Sundays. Only one I got to this year so I couldn't say no. Started off at the usual dim sum bakery and loaded up on food to prepare ourselves for the crowds. It was a grayish day, but not too bad overall. Kept the crowds down to lower levels. So my friends and I braved the streets looking for something new. Crowded CornerWalking BubbleClockwork Girl Wires, Shoes, CloudsColour VersionSad for wear. Rocking RooftopDemocrats...Nope. Expired Film

One way to keep your film costs down is going out and buying expired film. If you know when and where to go you can get some rolls real cheap. I went to a photo show/flea market where they were selling all sorts of older camera gear. One table had rolls of film for $2 a roll. Just happened to be expired by a few years. Like 2003 for some of them. A grab bag of what you could expect. Sometimes you can get some interesting effects. I guess I lucked out when I shot a roll. No major defects in the film, and the pictures turned out quite nice. Going to have to wait for the next show now in six months to get my hands on more colour film though. I have a couple rolls in the freezer to play with. 70950002 7095000370950004 70950006 7095000870950009 70950011
