Walking in China: Luojiang

Been awhile since I have posted pictures from my vacation to China. Time to remedy the situation. Today, it's from a small side trip to Luojiang. We visited and dropped in to where my brother was teaching and said hi to some of his students. No pictures from that. Afterwards we had dinner and then walked along the river front to see the sights. Let me tell you the sights were bright and colourful. As well, that day was my birthday so it was even better.

Toronto Photo Walks: Fall Foliage Fantasy

Another weekend, and another photo walk. We were hoping to get some fall colour this weekend but ended up being mostly disappointed on that part of it. On the other hand, we did walk through the Humber valley for a bit and caught some good shots of the salmon fishermen and some salmon on the fish ladder. No jumping salmon, as the water flow was a little strong. I did see some brave and strong swimmers attempt it though. So, another successful weekend. And maybe we will get some great colour to come on the next walk.

Toronto Photo Walks: Riverdale Farm--Toronto Necropolis IV

Well, as I said before it was wet. I used the opportunity to get a little creative with some "zooming" shots. Eventually we gave up and headed to the pub down on Queen St. When we got to the one we were planning on going to it was closed so we had to trek over the Don River to find one that was open. If you are in the Queen and Broadview area, I recommend Prohibition. Nice atmosphere, and great food. Beer, it's always good.













Point of information. My coat gained five pounds over the walk and took three days to completely dry.
