Toronto Photo Walks: One Year Old

Well, the walk for me finished sooner then the others. I actually had a good excuse as well. We were setting up a slide show at the bar and my computer was streaming the pictures from our Flickr photostream, rather easy to do actually. I met up with our Great Organizer, Vicki, who had set everything up and was already on hand getting the finishing touches in place. I set up the computer, started streaming the pictures and everyone started to show up. It was going to be a good night.



These two people are "Fearless Leader" Paul, and "Great Organizer" Vicki.








It was shaping up to be a good night, just one thing needed to be there for it to be perfect.

Film Noir Shoot: Strobist Meet Up

Well, I got the pictures done the best I can. We were working with three models that showed up. We took pictures of them singly and two together. Shooting in the late afternoon and early evening was good practice of using speed lights in different lighting. I think I learned something by going out to this shoot.

Toronto Photo Walks: King Street Part Four

Well, it looks like I am out of pictures this week early.  It was a short walk.  By the time we got to Church and Front streets it was not just threatening rain, but starting to come down in spurts and spats.  Promises of worse to come.  We took our pictures of the Flat Iron building and then proceeded into a local pub called C'est What.  Wonderful place, mostly draft beer and all craft brew.  I think I tried about five different kinds.

Toronto Photo Walks: Grafitti Alley the end

Well Lets see. Lunch, post lunch and then final beer stop. So we were walking along Queen st west....



Our final stop was supposed to be the Gladstone House for dinner. Unfortunately we arrived way before we were supposed to. So we stopped for a group shot and then carried on down Dufferin St.



We ended up going all the way to Dufferin Gate which is the entrance to the CNE. Took some pictures and headed back to the Gladstone.




So it was beer time and country music. A good day had by all. By the time we arrived we had shrank from 30 people to 6. Oh well, more beer for me.
