Buildings: Reflections

Looking back at some of my older pictures again. So many to go through at times it's good to see what was done and thinking about trying that shot again maybe. Modern architecture can be so intimidating and boring. Unless you use the bright reflective glass as mirror. Not to capture a shot of the building, but to capture what the building is reflecting. I have shown a few of my best ones months ago and I decided to go back and look at what else I had captured.

  1. I love the big one, second row from the bottom.

My difficulty when photographing interesting buildings is that I'm looking up and that tilts the photo (I'm sure there's a more technical term for what I'm trying to convey).

When photographing tall buildings I find myself wishing I could do it from the roof or balcony of another tall building and not from the sidewalk below.

  2. I think I know what you mean. Sometimes I get that too. Myself though I like those shots. I can fix them in photoshop. There's a way to "straighten" pictures if you know the focal length and stuff for your lens.
