Okay technically the roundhouse isn't part of Queens Quay or Harbour front, at least it's close enough. And it's on the way there. There was also a method to the planners madness. It must have been to plan this area as one of our first stops. Get into that tomorrow. I know I promised today, but I wanted to show off all the trains and stuff. Blow your whistles all you train nuts. We are looking at some history here.
The John street Roundhouse has been restored and is now a furniture store, a railway museum and a brewery. Yep, a brewery. Reason why it was on our stop list. First though lets look at all the trains.
There was even a small train ride that the engine was modeled on the yard mule. It went around the park and as well around the round house. Looked like fun to ride on. Might do it another time when the weather is better. Actually I think I know exactly when to go and do it...
Well that's it for today. See you all tomorrow....

Ha ha! Why am I hearing the little piano riff from Mr Rogers when the Trolley shows up when I see that mini-train?
ReplyDeleteCool- I take it that this is a relatively new landmark that just opened up in Toronto. Hope the filthy commie anarchists don't torch it on their inevitable rampage during the G-20.
/The #6213 should be restored to working order and shipped out west to haul tourists and dinner trains on the former CN Drumheller subdivison in Alberta.
