China: Ban Po Village

Well, today is a China day for pictures. There's a lot to see in Xi'an. A lot. My mother and I for one day hired a tour guide to show us around. Trust me, it's worth the expense to hire a private guide for a small group. Two being a very small group. Our guide asked us what we wanted to see, gave suggestions, and facilitated everything. Totally worth it. We wanted to see the Terracotta Warriors of course, but our guide recommended a few other sites and locations. First on the list was an ancient neolithic village that had been found in the city when they were building a power station. Very interesting to see.

  1. Hi Paladin Phil - wow, some great, great photos!
I do wish you had had the room (or time!) to write a little bit more about the photos - is it that an entire village from the neolithic age was buried? And if so, by what - volcano, mudslide...........?
Still and all great GREAT PHOTOS, thanks a lot!!

  2. It was probably buried by time. After all, it is over 6,000 years old.
