Xian China Museum
The Small Wild Goose Pagoda grounds also contains a museum. Here they have pottery, jade, and other items from the cities past. There's a large model of the Tang dynasty palace, a map of the city, and other items. We were a little rushed so we couldn't spend as much time as we wanted in the museum. The whole area is about a good half day to just explore the garden as well. A quick stop back at the market near the Drum Tower and we were on our way again. Next stop Chengdu and Sichuan province.

Heh...looks like a regular Wild Goose chase!
ReplyDeleteHi Phil - this is realwest, still having problems with TypePad,I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteI just had to say GREAT PHOTOS again my friend!! In fact, in terms of composition and detail, these may be my favorite of all your "China Photos" - really beautiful sujects and very finely and artfully photographed.
Thanks again!!
Whats the blue machine in the second-to-last photo?
ReplyDeleteAhh, the "blue machine". What it does is roast walnuts. It's filled with raw shelled nuts and sand then heated from underneath. There is a mixer that turns slowly that will evenly heat the nuts and sand. In the market street you saw them about every third store.
