Random Winter Shots II
Sometimes I was out early in the morning. One time I was at Casa Loma on a Sunday morning before they opened. I will have to return again about the same time. When I was there a piper stood at the entrance playing the bagpipes for about 20 minutes. Rather nice actually.

World Wide Photo Walk 2012 IV
The group shot on the stairs leading to Casa Loma. The castle itself, then rounding up everyone and heading to lunch. The skys were becoming overcast, and the rain in the forecast was becoming more probable.

Doors Open Toronto: Casa Loma Stables
Okay, the next couple of days are going to be picture intense. A lot of interesting shots, and a lot of historical architecture. Bear with me and I may throw some back ground links up as well. Today is focusing on the Casa Loma stables. There is quite a bit of history in them, WW2 history as well. Part of the stables were used for top secret naval projects and they housed a military regiment as well. It's early and I am a little rushed. I will provide the link later on when I have time. Off to the pictures

First off is the stable area itself. In one area they have an archery range that's open a few times a year to introduce the sport to people of all ages. As well there is the actual horse stalls in the main part.

Okay, that's above ground, now time to go underground. The stables are about 100 meters from Casa Loma itself and is accessible through underground tunnels. As well as the rest of the stable area.

There are two other main areas to the stable area, like the garage and potting shed. I think I have posted enough pictures for the day and have to get moving. See you all tomorrow where I go to the Church of the Redeemer.

Toronto Buildings: Casa Loma
We have some fascinating history in Toronto. One of the most interesting parts involves Casa Loma, a castle in Toronto. I won't go into the history here. I will show pictures though. You can find all sorts of resources on the internet. Especially Wikipedia. Anyway, here we go.
