Opening Night Mari Project: Balloons III
And all things must come to and end. There was more music, some performance art, and friends that showed up. All things being said it was a very good night. I just can't wait to do something like this again. Got to keep my eyes open for calls for submission and going through my extensive archives. So just remember, Playful Grounds will be hosting this show till the end of March. Come out and have some good food, good coffee, and enjoy the art.

Opening Night Mari Project: Balloons II
The music was nice, and the people were very appreciative of it, from what I could gather of the crowd. And from a change of pace we had Francoise Oullet play some Irish jigs on the diatonic accordion. It was a nice change, and well done. Hey, I can appreciate a good accordion from time to time.
Don't forget to check out the show running at Playful Grounds on College St here in Toronto. A great space, and family friendly as well.

And now, some video:

Opening Night Mari Project: Balloons I
This past Friday evening was opening night for an art show that I am a participant in. Mari Projects is running the show Balloons until the end of March at Playful Grounds on College St. here in Toronto. A nice space and I recommend checking it out.
I arrive early to check out the set up and made sure my stuff was hung properly. Three pictures of mine on the wall. I was nervous as all get out. As the night wore on though I relaxed.
I wasn't the only artist. There were three other artists participating as well with abstract paintings on the wall. I was the only photographer though. Still I think if fit with the theme. There was a jazz ensemble, a performance artist, and lots of people coming out to see the show. I enjoyed myself, and met a lot of people.
