Of course we couldn't miss the Lake Light. An old lighthouse on the Islands that is no longer in use. While we were there we saw a small group of people being taken on a private tour. Apparently if you catch the guardian of the light house, and his schedule is free, he might take you inside. Or so I have been told.

The Great Canadian Photo Walk Part 4
Whenever I am on the Islands, I seem to end up at the pier eventually. The pier is in the center of the park lands and juts out further south from the city. Nothing to see but lake horizon to the south and if the air is clear, Hamilton to the west. In the summer it can be a busy place, both lake and pier. This day did not disappoint.

Well this past Sunday was a hot one, but I went out anyway. There was a Colombian event going on down at the harbour front so I decided to check it out. Mostly a bunch of music. It was a good back ground sound and it was a great place to sit under umbrellas catching the breeze off the lake. Shooting what ever was going on around me and relaxing.
