Toronto Photo Walks: Belt Line 5

After shooting the feathered wild life it was time to move on. The temperature was slowly dropping and the front group was out of sight. We caught up with them at a small parkette a little further down the trail. We managed to catch some antics of a local squirrel, of course we all missed some of the acrobatics with our cameras. Can't be ready all the time I guess. Moving along, some of the group had prior commitments and left, others felt the day was long enough, and it was down to the last batch of hardy walkers. Stopped in for a quick coffee to warm up and then just headed to the pub for the final stop. It was as good day over all. I was happy with what I saw and shot. Soon another photo walk weekend will be upon us. Not to mention what else I shoot in the mean time. Toronto Photo Walks: Belt Line 4

Interesting friends. I mentioned it yesterday right? Well....You ain't seen nuthin yet. This was at the front of the pack, so I decided to see what was happening at the end of the pack. Just curious is all. Well talk about being in the right place at the right time. In one spot, within the span of minutes, we managed to catch sight of 3 different birds real close and personal. Well, having a telephoto lens helps too. It would have also helped if I wasn't shooting manual all the time. Considering the lighting and speed of said fowl, I am impressed with the way they turned out. All the front runners, were disappointed in what they missed out on.

It pays to step back and slow down at times.

Toronto Photo Walks: Belt Line 3

Short hop and jump to lunch. Lunch was at a pub called "The Thirsty Fox". A nice place. The service was quick and efficient, the food was very good, and it was faster then we have experienced at a lot of other pubs. If you are in the area (Eglinton west, near Eglinton West Station), drop in and check them out. Tell them the photo walkers sent you. Anyway, after lunch it was back on the streets again heading back for the trail. On the trail, it can be fun and interesting with friends...
